Recreation and Fitness

We offer a wide array of recreational activities here at West Central Community Center. From badminton to mixed martial arts, this is a space for everyone to come and engage in fun, social, and physical activities.

Youth Development

Before and After School

The Youth Development programs offered at West Central provide children numerous opportunities to participate in fun, active & educational activities in a safe and nurturing environment. They get to participate in arts and crafts, organized games, sports, music, and so much more!

Supportive Services

Life Skills Center and Community Inclusion

Two programs, the Community Inclusion Program and Life Skills Center, provide developmentally disabled adults with opportunities to participate in numerous activities throughout our community.

 

Friendships are developed and clients are motivated to be active in physical fitness, music, arts & crafts, and other stimulating activities within our community.

WIC

Women, Infants, and Children

The WIC program is a vital service available at WCCC with additional locations in Cheney, Airway Heights, and Fairchild Air Force Base. This essential program provides important health and nutrition education, breastfeeding support for new mothers, and access to healthy foods to help support healthy families.

Head Start

This program provides early childhood education, social services, and health services for eligible young children and families, including those with special needs.

 

Nurturing child growth and development, Head Start is a safe and secure environment that enhances children’s skills and abilities for school success.

 

This site offers preschool and childcare services for toddlers and preschoolers.

24/7 Public Library Kiosk

Responding to the community's need for library access in West Central, the Spokane Public Library and our Community Center engaged in a fundraising effort to bring the state's first library kiosk (24/7!) to the West Central community.
